The PSDE Social Democratic Party of Orihuela celebrated the opening of their new headquarters at Playa Flamenca on Friday night. The office, as featured in the ‘Leader’ 2 weeks ago, is facing the new promenade at Playa Flamenca and was filled with supporters to hear spokesman and candidate for Mayor, Francisco Ortuño give a harsh but optimistic treatise on the future of the coast.
He said the opening of their first HQ was in the heartland of the construction industry and money mafia. The party pledged to redistribute the multimillion figures generated by the sector for the benefit of the citizens, and not just, “among the promoter friends of the Mayor.”
Ortuño described how their dissident socialist party had been born of frustration at the inability to tackle corruption and reminded that it was their work that had led to the 16 denuncias, including 30 separate charges, being investigated against the present administration.
Fellow current councillors Fuensanta Durante and Virtudes Sánchez were joined by candidates for the Costa Jorge Tormo and Mágali Baetslé, who can be consulted in English about any local issues on 659 668 629.
